News: Aug 29, 2017

Hosted by Academy of Design & Crafts (HDK)
& Sahlgrenska School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SSIE)

This day of seminars was the kick-off to the GU Accelerator program Healthcare Inc. It was so inspiring to get six different perspectives and experience from working with people-centred approaches in healthcare. The practical examples of how design methods enable innovation and the what-ifs of the digital future left us all with an inspiration that lingers on. We were honored to have the following speakers: Rama Gheerawo from the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the Royal College of Art, Louise Warme from Lara Diagnostics, Gene Libow from Livework, Lisa Carlgren from Chalmers University of Technology, Hans van den Brink from VGR, and Laura Almenberg from Veryday / McKinsey Design.

Healthcare Inc. is a collaboration between second year masters’ students: Business and Design students from HDK, law, engineering and bio-medicine background students from Sahlgrenska School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and professionals in the healthcare industry. The 6 week course will use design (thinking) methods to co-create human-centered innovation on a healthcare challenge here in Gothenburg.
