Apply to the program

The admission process for the master's programme in Business Creation and Entrepreneurship in Biomedicine, starting spring of 2019 is made up of two parts, the central admission followed by the local admission process. If you want to apply to the programme you have to meet all the requirements and deadlines of both the central admission and the local admission.

Central admission

The central admission is made up of standard steps which are managed by the central admissions department. As an international student you are advised to apply through www.universityadmissions.se and as a national student you are advised to apply through www.antagning.se. Please note that both application rounds are open for all students however, and for timing reasons we sometime advise applying students to focus on one or the other. In order to get approved you must meet the requirements set by the program curricula before all deadlines that the central admissions have.

Two application rounds - when should I apply?

There are two different admissions rounds. Both are open for everyone however all international students are encouraged to apply to the first admission round. This gives the students the time they need to pay their tuition fees, apply for and receive their residence permit (if required), find housing, etc.

The second admission round is an alternative for students from EU/EEA countries as they do not need a residence permit.

Read more about this at the university admissions.

Local admission

The local admission starts after the deadline of the central admission and is managed by a local admission committee (LAC). Information about the local admission will be sent out from LAC to the applicants that are included in the lists from the central admissions department.

The local admission is divided into two steps: a questionnaire and a structured interview including a case exercise.

The interview step is made up of a structured interview and a case. The interview can be conducted via Skype, but the applicant is responsible for securing a good internet connection, headset and web-camera. The interview step will lead to a new screening with the goal of ranking the remaining applicants in regards to set criteria.

The results from the local admission will be sent back to the central admissions which will then take over the process of establishing the final results, based on fulfillment of prerequisists, local admission, payment of fees etc.
