Exhibition, bar and cafe in the same place. The exhibition, by students and alumni, will form part of the cafe's interior. Visitors will have the opportunity to have a coffee in a hand-made chair designed by an alumni furniture designer or read next to a lamp designed by a student from the crafts departments.

The development of his objects is characterised by accuracy and precision. His design processes take time -“ working with natural light takes time. He tests, researches, and studies tirelessly to get exactly the right feel.

This research symposium, taking place on November 21, 2017 at Valand Academy, marks the beginning phase of an interdisciplinary project on photography and visual culture in the interwar period: Photography at the Threshold: Experiment and Social Change.

Lecturer: Among the speakers are art historians, photography researchers, artists, curators, historians and writers such as Sabine T. Kriebel, Maja Hagerman, Claes Gabrielson, Mats Jansson, Mhairi Sutherland, Katarina Leppänen, Anna Dahlgren, Eva Dahlman and Susanne Kriemann. Topics will include: montage, fascism, eugenics, gender rights, aerial and military photography, commercialism and the concept of modernism.

Learn more about chamber music! Here is an opportunity to become immersed in individual works where theory instructors reveal and explain exciting details. Dag Hallberg, Dan Olsson and Joel Eriksson each meet with their student ensemble and proceed from their different chamber music works. The seminars take place in parallel in three different halls. They tell about the composer and provide examples of music performed by music students.
